Opportunities To Serve
Volunteer at this year’s Youth Encounter
Collegiate age volunteers are needed to help again this year at the Illinois Baptist State Association’s
Youth Encounter Dec 27-29 in Springfield IL. You will be used as helpers in registration, security, the
games area – wherever workers are needed. IBSA will provide you with housing and meals. You must
be available from Thursday the 27th at 3 p.m. until Saturday the 29th at 3 p.m. If you would like to
volunteer, send Greg Walz an e-mail at mail@siuebsm.com
Toys For Tots
BSM’s Freshman council is working with Toys for Tots as a Christmas project. We will have a
collection box at every Thursday Night Praise until the end of the semester. The toys need to be new,
unwrapped items – everyone can afford a toy to give to the needy. Contact Megan Sage msage@siue.
edu if you need more information.
Community Hope Center
On Saturday, December 15th at the Community Hope Center in Cottage Hills. We will be doing what
ever work they need done. They need us from 10-2. A carppol will leave from Calvary Baptist Church at
9:30 a.m. Contact Andrea Brinkman at anbrink@siue.edu or by phone 217-412-4306 if you have any
questions or need more info.
