Opportunities for Teams to Serve

Project Nehemiah - Poland –
Step into history and touch the past. Minister to the wounds caused
by the Holocaust. Join a massive undertaking to clear the jungle that is the largest Jewish cemetery in
the World. Pray and labor along side of us to remove the “weeds” resulting from the devastating
impact of World War II on Jews and Gentiles living today in Poland. Help us break up the “hard soil” of
Warsaw so that we might sow the gospel seed in good soil and see a harvest of “30, 60, or 100 times”
of that which was sown.

Serve for a week and a half or for a summer. Summer 2008.

Hands On Experiences

The IMB has developed a brand new way for students and young adults to serve overseas for 4-12
months. These experiences are called Hands On and they will begin in January ‘08 in Africa and will
be available all over the world beginning January ‘09.

Hands On experiences are different because they:
  • Include a heavy discipleship component for participants (extensive training, on-the-field
    mentoring, debriefing)
  • Include longer assignments for students. Currently, for Africa, they run on a semester schedule
    (Jan-June and July-December)
  • Are SIGNIFICANTLY subsidized by the IMB. Students contribute only $2600 plus passport and
immunizations toward the $7000 cost for each experience. The $2600 covers plane ticket,
travel visa(s), an extended Adams and Associates insurance policy, housing, food, and local
    transportation
  • Have students working in teams of 4 under the supervision of experienced IMB missionaries
